A new Trans NIH K12 Program in Emergency Care Research was funded in late July 2016 and is funded by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLBI), the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR). The new program seeks to widen the scientific domain of emergency care research to include mental health and nursing research.
