Paramedic announces ‘historical’ step in his presidential campaign

PAWTUCKET, R.I. — Charles Robichaud, a paramedic who is running for president, is claiming he has made history in his bid for the White House.

In a recent news release, Robichaud said he has personally reached out to “nearly every” presidential write-in and independent running in this year’s general election, a list of over 700 people. “I felt it was important to reach out to them in the hopes of a brighter future,” he said.

“We may have different views on many different topics but we need not fear our differences, rather we should embrace them in the spirit of new beginnings.” Robichaud also says that he is vetting those candidates for a potential spot as his vice president.

Robichaud has been running his grassroots presidential campaign primarily through social media. He says he has received much of his support from the public safety community, and is focusing his efforts on gaining the majority vote in 20 states in hopes of participating in the next televised public debate.

"I don't see the current candidates as being leaders and they do not look after the average person," Robichaud said in the video announcing his candidacy.

"We are stronger if we stand together.”
