Abstract
In this issue of the journal, Choo et al offer best practice recommendations which support the hiring, recruitment and advancement of women physicians in Emergency Medicine. We applaud these efforts and agree that concrete and specific actions are needed to support women's advancement in their chosen employment whether it be community or academic emergency medicine. The evidence that widespread gender disparities exist among faculty is not refutable
